Chiefs Finish Diski Season In Fourth, Bucs & Sundowns Win Big!

Kaizer Chiefs 1-1 SuperSport United

Kaizer Chiefs gave SuperSport United a guard of honour as the champions ended their season with a 1-1 draw on Saturday afternoon at TUT Stadium.

Amakhosi, along with Mamelodi Sundowns and Cape Town City gave Matsatsantsa a guard of honour in the last festival of the season.

Chances were few and far between in the first stanza that did not produce goals.

Omega Mdaka eventually broke the deadlock for Amakhosi with 18 minutes remaining, however, Gape Moralo levelled matters for United eight minutes later.

Vela Khumalo's troops ended their season in fourth place while SuperSport won the league title by two points and celebrated their trophy.

Orlando Pirates 2-0 Golden Arrows

Orlando Pirates finished as runners-up after beating ten-man Golden Arrows 2-0 on Saturday morning at Rand Stadium.

Arrows were dealt a blow as they were reduced to ten men on 33 minutes after Sabelo Duma was red-carded for an off-the-ball challenge on Samukele Kabini.

Pirates capitalized on their numerical advantage on the stroke of half-time as Seun Moremi broke the deadlock.

Mpumelelo Ndaba got the second goal for the Buccaneers nine minutes into the second stanza.

Joseph Makhanya's charges finished just two points behind champions SuperSport United in second spot while ended their campaign in sixth spot on the table.

Mamelodi Sundowns 4-1 Cape Town City

Mamelodi Sundowns ended their season on a high after drubbing Cape Town City 4-1 on Saturday morning at TUT Stadium.

Kamvalethu Sapa gave City an early lead with a header from a free-kick delivery and after creating plenty of chances, Sundowns eventually levelled matters on the hour-mark through Lulama Nxumalo.

Neo Mokoena put the Brazilians ahead six minutes later, Siyanda Nyanga gave them a two-goal cushion with 20 minutes to go and an own goal by Sphamandla Dondolo with eight minutes left put the game to bed for Surprise Moriri's charges.

The Brazilians ended their season in fifth spot on the table while the Citizens finished in third spot.

Stellenbosch 0-1 Sekhukhune United

Sekhukhune United ended their season with a narrow 1-0 win over Stellenbosch on Saturday morning at Idas Valley Sports Ground.

Following a goalless first stanza, Kutlwano Theoha eventually broke the deadlock for Sekhukhune with 25 minutes left and that was enough to hand them the three points.

Babina Noko finished their season in 11th place on the log while Stellies ended in seventh spot.
