Chiefs Hammer AmaZulu, Pirates Off The Mark

AmaZulu 1-5 Kaizer Chiefs

Kaizer Chiefs got their first victory of the DStv Diski Challenge season in emphatic style after hammering AmaZulu 5-1 on Sunday afternoon at Chatsworth Stadium.

The Soweto giants had five different scorers on the day, including Siphesihle Tati, Puso Dithejane, Wandile Duba, Donny Jansen Omega Mdaka

Orlando Pirates won their first game of the season after a 2-0 victory over ten-man Richards Bay on Saturday afternoon at Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium.

Cape Town City 2-0 Stellenbosch

Cape Town City got their campaign up and running with a 2-0 win over Stellenbosch in the mini Cape derby on Sunday morning at Malta Park.

City lost the Cape derby against Cape Town Spurs in their opener last weekend by the same scoreline but they redeemed themselves and got their first points of the season courtesy of second-half goals by Gabriel Amato and Rubein Bamana.

SuperSport United 0-1 Sekhukhune United

SuperSport United's search for their first victory continued after a narrow 1-0 loss to Sekhukhune United on Sunday afternoon at Lucas Moripe Stadium.

Sihlali scored the decisive goal for Babina Noko on the stroke of half-time, as they maintained their perfect start with back-to-back wins.
