Player Ratings: AS Vita v Mamelodi Sundowns 10 April 2016

Soccer Laduma rates the individual performances of the Mamelodi Sundowns players, following their 1-0 loss to AS Vita. Mamelodi Sundowns: Denis Onyango: 6 The Ugandan shot-stopper was hardly called upon in the 90 minutes, although he did produce a good save to deny Morrison in the 53rd minute. While, he was helpless for the late goal. Ramahlwe Mphahlele: 6 The Sundowns full-back certainly held his own on the defensive end of the pitch. Although, he struggled to get forward due to Vita's dominance. Tebogo Langerman: 6 Similarly to Mphahele, was solid at left full-back and frustrated the opposition winger on numerous occasions. Thabo Nthethe: 6 Solid for the majority of the 90 minutes, until stoppage time as he and the rest of the defence backed off to allow Morrison to shoot in the build-up to the winner. Wayne Arsendse: 6 Certainly held his own alongside Nthethe throughout the game but made the mistake of backing off in stoppage time to allow Vita to score. Asavela Mbekile: 6 Played at right-back for most of the season, but was deployed in the middle of the park and he hardy put a foot wrong for the Brazilians. Hlompho Kekana: 6 He was solid defensively and certainly made his presence felt, although he could not get the attacking side of his game going, as Vita saw most of the ball. Mzikayise Mashaba: 6 Deployed on the left flank but hardly offered anything going forward, although his defensive work did not go unnoticed. Keagan Dolly: 6.5 Given a free role as the number 10, he looked threatening in the first half. While, he did squander a chance to hand Sundowns the lead in the second half. Themba Zwane: 6 Hardly had the chance to show his offensive abilities due to Vita's dominance, but he did well to track back in the second half. Leonardo Castro: 5 Not the best of games for the Colombian forward, who cut a frustrated figure at times and he was eventually replaced on the hour mark. Substitutes: Cuthbert Malajila: 5 Replaced Castro in the 60th minute but failed to make the desired impact. Although, the Zimbabwean did have service to work with. Siyanda Zwane: NA Not on the field long enough to receive a rating.
