It has been a great past few days for Masandawana who not only captured the Absa Premiership title but also broke Kaizer Chiefs' record in becoming the first team to reach a mark of 71 points in the 16-team format. The Chloorkop outfit also won the Telkom Knockout trophy late last year to complete a league and cup double, and have been on a trophy parade for the past two days around Pretoria. Speaking to the club's official website, 'Jingles' could not hide his excitement upon learning the news that his team would be afforded another shot at competing in Africa's biggest competition, though it means there will be a change in their plans. "Of course it's exciting news to be back in the Champions League. That's the big one and we want to be in that space. As you can imagine, we had already made our programme. Players had already booked their trips back home and holidays," Mosimane told the Sundowns website. The former Bafana Bafana coach further added that his charges now had the chance to rectify their previous mistakes and fly the country's flag high in Africa. "In South Africa we have the quality to play in continental competitions against other top sides and we have seen that. We have to take what we learnt from our matches. We know it's win at all costs in Africa, but Sundowns will maintain their integrity and represent the country well," Mosimane is quoted as saying by the club's site. Masandawana have been pitted against Zamalek of Egypt, Nigerian giants Enyimba and Algerian outfit ES Setif in Group B.
