An update has been provided on Percy Tau's current situation ahead of the match for Bafana Bafana this weekend in the Nelson Mandela Challenge in Port Elizabeth.
There have been concerns regarding Tau's readiness for Sunday's match against Mali, after he arrived from his Belgium team Club Brugge with fears of an injury.

The former Mamelodi Sundowns star had been forced out of Brugge's match against KAA Gent on Sunday in the first half, following a tackle from one of the opponents' players.
However, latest from the Bafana camp is that the 25-year-old has been declared fit for the match by the medical team, though he did not play in Thursday's practice match against Absa Premiership side Chippa United.

"We have rested Percy Tau today. He is not injured, he is recovering from an injury. It was just a precautionary rest. Medically‚ I have cleared him for selection. So, it will be up to the coach if he plays on Sunday or not," Bafana's team doctor Thulani Ngwenya reportedly told the media on Thursday.
The match on Sunday is scheduled to start at 15h00.
