Bafana Bafana assistant coach, Owen Da Gama, could see his time at the South African national team come to an end following the appointment of Stuart Baxter at the helm.
The Englishman was unveiled as the new Bafana head coach recently and announced his 25-man squad yesterday, May 25, as he begins preparations for Bafana's upcoming opening encounter of the Africa Cup Of Nation's qualifiers against Nigeria on June 10.

However, Baxter is yet to announce his technical team and indications are that Da Gama will not form part of the 63-year-old's backroom staff.
According to a Siya source, Baxter and the South African Football Association are looking to make changes to the previous technical team, with the intention of having a completely fresh look to Bafana Bafana's technical bench going forward.
Da Gama took charge of the bench during Bafana's previous two international friendly encounters against Angola and Guinea Bissau earlier this year after he was appointed as the interim coach while the association were in the process of finding a new man for the position.
Da Gama is the current head coach of the U23 South African national team and should the association look to relieve him from his duties with the senior national team, it remains to be seen whether the 55-year-old will continue mentoring the U23 set-up.
