Thomas Barkhuizen.
That's a name South Africans should begin to perhaps get used to after Bafana Bafana coach Molefi Ntseki this week confirmed that the 26-year-old striker was on his radar as he is understood to be eligible to play for South Africa.

Although the Preston North End forward was born in Blackpool, his grandfather was apparently born here and that opens the door for Barkhuizen, whose team plays in the second tier of the English league.
Ntseki revealed this after the Siya crew asked him about his plans for a permanent backroom staff, which currently includes Arthur Zwane and Trott Moloto, the duo from Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns respectively, on a camp-by-camp basis.
"The reason why I am looking at having a scouting team or selection team and a video analyst is so that when I want to bring somebody for the camp we should be able to know his strengths and weaknesses," the coach explained.
"We are looking now at a player called Thomas Barkhuizen, who is playing for Preston North End. So we need to have clips of him, we need to go visit the club, the parents and the player. It's not only him, and I can't do it by myself. I can't be all over. So if we have a bigger technical team, we would be able to keep in touch with player that you are looking for. We can see our players in South Africa week in week out, but what about our overseas-based players?"
