Benin coach Gernot Rohr has questioned why FIFA are yet to make a decision regarding the eligibility controversy involving South African midfielder Teboho Mokoena.

South Africa erroneously fielded Teboho Mokoena during a 2-0 victory over Lesotho in March this year. The Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder was supposed to serve a one-game suspension for accumulating too many yellow cards.
Hugo Broos' side is now waiting for FIFA's decision over the matter, but with just four games left in the qualifiers, they have not provided any updates on the pending case.
Gernot Rohr, whose side lost both of their World Cup qualifiers to South Africa, has called on FIFA to deduct three points from South Africa, according to Reuters.
"It is unusual that we lack clarity regarding the points on the log table ahead of our games this week,” he remarked.
"It is very strange. South Africa should lose three points, which should then be awarded to Lesotho. But no one understands why FIFA has not made this decision," the German added.
South Africa currently leads Group C with 13 points after six games, five ahead of Rwanda and Benin. Nigeria are fourth with seven points, with Lesotho and Zimbabwe sitting on six and four points respectively.

The points deduction would have big implications on the standings as it would thrust Rwanda, Benin, Nigeria and Lesotho back into automatic qualification contention.
