The 31-year-old netted a brace in Portugal's final Group F game, and he now sits in fifth position in the Euro goalscorers ranking.
Spain striker Alvaro Morata, who will return to Real Madrid as confirmed by the club, leads the ranking after netting thrice in his first three games.
Ronaldo's club teammate Gareth Bale follows in second place, having also scored three goals – the Welshman became only the seventh player in Euro history to score in each of his team's three group stage matches.
Bale and Morata are separated because the Spaniard has played less minutes than the Wales star, which counts as second tie-breaker for the Golden Boot award. Both are yet to register an assist, though, which is the first tie-breaker in the ranking.
Here are Euro 2016's top 10 goalscorers so far:
1) Alvaro Morata (Spain) – 3 goals in 219 minutes
2) Gareth Bale (Wales) – 3 goals in 263 minutes
3) Dimitri Payet (France) – 2 goals 1 assist in 207 minutes
4) Ivan Perisic (Croatia) – 2 goals 1 assist in 267 minutes
5) Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal) – 2 goals 1 assist in 270 minutes
