The Price Is Not Right ?

It has been widely written about that Lorch had plenty European suitors following his performances in the 2018/19 season that earned him the PSL Footballer of the Season award. But many of our South African players don't often get that elusive move. The sad part is that most of them are denied the move because of financial reasons. They are told to wait for the right offer. What is the right offer ? The right offer for me or you ? All this footballer wants is a chance to play overseas in the top European leagues. This is the dream of almost every player wants to fulfill. This hits players mentally and in turn affects their performances. Lorch is one of those cases where it is visually evident. Here we have a player who actually wants to leave the comfort of his homeland and family to pursue the unknown. A player that is not satisfied with playing football locally. Whether its lucrative for the club or not, such an opportunity needs to be given to the player under standard conditions as it affects the national set up directly. We need more players overseas is what they say but when the opportunity presents itself then clubs are left with the power to deny. I'd love to see clubs put more thought into the development of the individual and not the development of the clubs advances. We not in the top 50 countries but yet we wanna be demanding with regards to getting the right price ?
