The Premier League is coming back !!!

The Premier League is coming back !!!
The biggest league on the planet is potentially gonna restart on the 17th of June. Two days before my birthday. What a gift that would be should the government give the go ahead and everything falls in place according to the guidelines. Yes I was against the resumption of the Budesliga because of how quick they wanted to start. However, there is a few factors we can consider like playing at neutral venues, whether or not all players will play given the fact that some have opted to not part take in group training, and lastly playing behind closed doors. The general consensus is that with the idea of neutral venues, the league essentially do not trust the fans, because there is a fear that supporters could potentially come down to the stadiums. This notion has been put to bed by many pundits. Saying that only a handful will be played at neutral stadiums. A situation that they obviously want to avoid. The next factor is aimed at the certain players feeling that everything is moving too soon, increasing the risk of contracting the virus. That's why we saw Kante' and Deeny taking a stance of not wanting to participate in group training. Once those individuals feel that everything is in place and their minds are at ease they will eventually come around. You can't blame them because a lot is at stake. Everything needs to be done stage by stage and step by step. Seeing that each process is safe to proceed. Fast tracking the restart could see players getting injured so there is no need for a hasty rush back. It could do more harm than good. Lastly, playing behind close doors is something that could play a huge role in the intensity of the games. Which is generally generated by the huge crowds that turn up every weekend. The German league has acted as a Guinea pig and proved that the rapid restart has definitely impacted the quality of the matches. The English will be looking at this and thinking how can they make Project Restart as smooth and as safe as possible. Also protecting the brand so that it's not tainted. Playing without the crowd could benefit players who get battered by the opposition fans. This break would also have given a rest and a recovery that was much needed. Especially those guys who are always representing their national team. We will have strong line ups and bigger squads who coaches have to make use of. The possibility of 5 substitutes could be utilized to ease the players back. That is still under discussion. All in all let's hope everything kicks off without any hiccups. Football is coming back !!!
