" The Chaser become The Chased "

" The Chaser become The Chased "
Now that all the festivities are over the next question looming would be how far Liverpool can keep this relentless train going. With knowing that everyone will look to strengthen and teams will take a closer look at how the Reds operate in order to dismantle their stronghold. Mentally we know they will be up for it too but learning from the Citizens will key in continuing their dominance. The Merseysiders have proven better than City at finding internal solutions to conundrums plaguing their immediate rivals. They seem more comfortable with adversity and finding ways of mastering the art of overcoming obstacles. The development will play a vital role in the progression of the squad going forward. Identifying the void of key areas and preparing the next generation will save this team from falling off their perch. Yes there are certain players that can't be replaced but planning for something before it happens puts you in a better place. Watching City fail to prepare for the future provides a good blueprint to educate themselves and ultimately use for their own gain. It was imperative that in the aftermath of winning the league that the word around the Red camp has immediately steered the conversation towards the rest of this campaign and attacking the next near sighted target. There was no desire to indulge in celebrations when there’s still work to be done. This attitude is what has set them apart from the chasing pack. Of course, there can be a departure from reality, when human nature and fatigue can kick in. But having been denied the opportunity to win the title in front of supporters due to Covid-19, there is talk at Melwood of them going again and giving the people a proper fiesta in celebration. Liverpool are no longer in any doubt over their capabilities, which has hindered them in the past. They no longer fear failure having come thru so many upsets. A added advantage is the postponement of the Africa Cup of Nations. This is also a huge helping hand for the club and the short turnaround to the new season seems to benefit their future ambition. This will just keep the German induced engine running. It is obvious that this Liverpool team will want more. They would wanna leave a lasting legacy that would be sustainable for many years to come. The perfect coach at the perfect time indeed.
