Since the Premier League era started in 1992, and according to a list released by talkSPORT, no player has scored more frequently from the penalty spot than former Newcastle United and Blackburn Rovers striker Alan Shearer. The EPL's all-time leading goal scorer netted 56 of the 67 penalties he took during his playing career.
Former Chelsea and Manchester City midfielder Frank Lampard, who is now in charge of the Blues, trails close behind after scoring 43 of the 50 spot-kicks he took during his time in the Premier League. Lampard's former England international teammate Steven Gerrard occupies third place after scoring 32 penalties during his time at Liverpool.
Current City striker Sergio Aguero is the highest penalty scorer among active EPL players, boasting 25 successful spot-kicks to his name, including one against West Ham United in the club's opening match of the 2019/20 campaign.
