2014 FIFA World Cup Individual Awards Named

Despite being on the losing side, Argentina's Lionel Messi was the big individual award winner as he was named the best player of the 2014 World Cup, being awarded the Golden Ball.

Messi beat out Angel Di Maria (Argentina), Mats Hummels (German), Toni Kroos (Germany), Philipp Lahm (Germany), Javier Mascherano (Argentina), Thomas Mueller (Germany), Neymar (Brazil), Arjen Robben (Netherlands), James Rodriguez (Colombia)

Colombia's Rodriguez may not have won the best player awatd but he did walk away with the Golden Boot, having scored six goals in the tournament. 

France's Paul Pogba was named Young Player Of The Tournament. He beat out teammate Raphael Varane and Memphis Depay of the Netherlands.

Germany's Manuel Neuer was the Golden Glove Award winner, ahead of fellow finalist Argentina's Sergio Romero, as well as Costa Rica's Keylor Navas.  

Colombia were awarded the FIFA Fair Play Award.
