Lionel Messi's delightful chip, Xherdan Shaqiri's bicycle kick and Saul's brilliant solo run were all nominated for the UEFA Goal of the season, and the winner has now been announced.

More than 34% of the 215 417 votes went to Messi's chip, which came at the end of a brilliant 27-pass move, with literally every FC Barcelona star touching the ball.
The Argentine scored two goals in the 6-1 thrashing of Roma in the group stage of the Champions League, and his first strike to make it 2-0 ran away with the Goal of the Season award.
Messi's chip was one of 10 goals on the final shortlist, which featured brilliant strikes from all UEFA competitions, including the Champions League, the European Championship and the Futsal Euro.
The goal scored by Portugal's Ricardinho in the Futsal Euro finished with 13% of the votes in second place, followed by Shaqiri's overhead stunner for Switzerland at Euro 2016.
Hungary goalkeeper Gabor Kiraly won the Save of the Season award for his save from a Kevin De Bruyne free-kick at the European Championship.

The 40-year-old goalkeeper received 54 228 of the 156 972 votes (35%) for the Save of the Season award, with Russia goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev's effort (14%) against England and Italy glovesman Gianluigi Buffon's brilliant stop to deny Mario Gomez of Germany (14%) taking second and third place respectively.
