Over the weekend, the Middle Eastern side confirmed they had successfully signed the South African youngster from Orlando Pirates. The winger burst onto the scene during the 2024/25 season, scoring seven goals and providing five assists as he helped the Buccaneers seriously challenge for the Betway Premiership, CAF Champions League, Nedbank Cup, and MTN8.
His club form earned him a call-up to the Bafana Bafana squad for their recent friendlies against Tanzania and Mozambique, where he managed two assists in a 2-0 win over the latter. Those performances were enough to convince The Knights of Ad-Dahna to secure the services of the Kimberley native.
However, the club from the oil-rich kingdom did not stop there with their recruitment. Following Nkota's arrival, they also completed the signing of Slovakia international Ondrej Duda.
The central midfielder spent the last two seasons with Italian Serie A outfit Hellas Verona, having initially joined on loan from FC Cologne in early 2023, before making the move permanent ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.

The 30-year-old, who has also played in both the Bundesliga and the Premier League, will now be sharing a dressing room with Nkota as Al Ettifaq aim to improve on their seventh-place finish in the Saudi Pro League last season.
