The South African tactician's new side were subjected to yet another loss to table topping Tractor SC in the Persian Gulf Pro League on Thursday evening.

Second half strikes from Aref Aghasi and Sajjad Ashouri condemned the Capital Blues to their third straight league defeat, leaving them three points off the relegation zone.

This was the first time Esteghlal have lost at home in the league to the aforementioned opposition in eight years, with their last home defeat against them coming in 2016.

After the game, manager of the Red Wolves, Dragan Skocic, revealed how pleased he was with claiming victory over the Kagiso native's side.

"I congratulate my players on this win. To be honest, unlike the previous matches, we did not present a very eye-catching and spectator-friendly game, and some of our performance was changed due to the intensity and sensitivity of this game, which was like a derby, but I am very satisfied with the win anyway," the Croat said, as per Resaneh7.

Skocic did, however, state that things would get better for Mosimane's charges as they are a quality side. He added: "Esteghlal had a very good and strong performance. I am sure they can do great things in the future and perform much better, but in the end I am very happy and satisfied with this victory."
