Why Mbappe Refuses To Take Part In France Photoshoot

It has reportedly been revealed why Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe has refused to take part in a photoshoot with the French national team.

PSG Boss Reacts To Neymar's 'Angry' Response To Being Subbed

Didier Deschamps appears to be facing a number of issues ahead of France's upcoming UEFA Nations League matches, from injuries and the Paul Pogba blackmail scandal to Mbappe's reported feud with the French Football Federation (FFF).

According to L'Equipe, the Les Bleus squad will take part in a photo day on Tuesday, but could be without the 23-year-old after the FFF had initially refused to alter an agreement over image rights of the players in the side.

It is suggested that Mbappe and his representatives were unhappy no agreement could be found ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, with the forward believed to feel uncomfortable promoting certain products, but that could change after the FFF released a statement on Monday night saying it will "work on the outlines of a new agreement which will allow it to maintain its interests all the while taking into consideration the concerns and legitimate convictions unanimously expressed by its players".

Mbappe reportedly feels strongly about having a say in which companies his image is used to market, particularly betting and fast food groups. The former Monaco striker boycotted a marketing campaign with the French national team in March this year due to similar reasoning.

Per the Daily Mirror, sponsors associated with the FFF are able to hand-pick five players to be involved in their campaigns, with it thought the PSG talisman had been selected once more but decided to not take part.

France will take on Austria on Thursday, before they take on Denmark this Sunday.

Mbappe has represented his country on 57 occasions to date, scoring 27 goals and assisting a further 21 strikes.
