Following a devastating earthquake that rocked both Syria and Turkey, Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly sent an airplane filled with supplies to help the affected nations.

The events that transpired in Eastern Europe and Asia in recent weeks appears to have deeply affected the five-time Ballon d'Or winner, with many dying and others severely impacted by the tragic events.
According to the Daily Mail, Ronaldo has sent a plane packed with essentials to the parts of Turkey and Syria that have been most affected by the natural disaster in an effort to alleviate the hardships people there are enduring.
It is said the Al Nassr superstar has paid for tents, food packages, pillows and blankets, beds, baby food and milk, and medical supplies to help aid the ongoing humanitarian effort.
With the former Real Madrid star's latest gesture, the hope is that other sporting greats will following the Portuguese's lead and also contribute and provide aid following the disaster.

This is not the first time Ronaldo has displayed his generosity in the midst of a major crisis, either , with the ex-Manchester United and Juventus forward having also contributed £1 million (R21.8 million) to Portuguese hospitals during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.
