A Selecao went into the break five goals ahead against their opponents in a 2024 UEFA European Championship qualifying match following an action-packed first half of football.

During the opening 45 minutes, captain Ronaldo scored twice, while Bruno Fernandes, Joao Felix and Joao Cancelo also found themselves on the scoresheet in Bosnia.

There was a moment when Portuguese fans might have been worried about the 38-year-old, though, following an incident involving the five-time Ballon d'Or winner during an encounter with a supporter who stormed the field to get a picture with the legendary No. 7.

Security quickly rushed to grab the man, who was wearing an Al Nassr shirt, but not before he inflicted seemingly unintentional damage on the former Real Madrid and Manchester United forward.

Ronaldo was seen holding his ankle and limping away, before later smiling and assuring the referee he was fine to continue.
