Juventus superstar Paulo Dybala, who is said to be wanted by Real Madrid and FC Barcelona, has insisted he does not want to be seen as the "new Lionel Messi".
Reports: Messi Wants Barca To Beat Real To This Star
The forward has come on in leaps and bounds since arriving in Europe five seasons ago, with his last two years being memorable ones at Italian giants Juventus.
Dybala's left foot, dribbling technique and intricacy with the ball has seen him being compared to compatriot and five-time Ballon d'Or winner Messi, but it is not a comparison he welcomes.
"People should know that I am Dybala and I want to continue to be so," the Bianconeri forward told Italian daily La Repubblica.
"I understand the comparisons and expectations on me from the Argentines, but I don't want to be the new Messi or the Messi of the future.
"There is only one Messi, like (Diego) Maradona. No one has ever told me that I am his heir."
