The player Neymar accused of hurling racist insults at him has once again denied the Brazilian's accusations, this time saying the Paris Saint-Germain superstar mocked him about his salary too.
The former Barcelona forward clashed with Marseille defender Alvaro Gonzalez earlier this season, which PSG lost 1-0 in a game that saw five players get sent off.
Neymar was one of them, and took to social media after the match to accuse the Marseille player he fell out with of racially abusing him.
Gonzalez has maintained his innocence once again, and this time stated that the 28-year-old teased him about making much less money than he does at the French champions.
"I told him I was very happy with my salary. Neymar's whole game that day was unfortunate, full of provocations.
"I did not make any racist insults, I will not allow my football career and myself to be humiliated. Neymar deserves nothing from me, neither my respect nor anything.
"We had a bad time, not just me, my family and more. If I had said anything to him, it would have appeared on all the cameras."
