Messi Beats Ronaldo To Two Records In UCL Win

Messi Beats Ronaldo To Two Records In UCL Win

Seven-time Ballon d'Or winner Lionel Messi set two incredible records in Paris Saint-Germain's 3-1 win over Maccabi Haifa in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday night.

Transfer Update: Messi

The Argentine continued his impressive start to the campaign as the French giants defeated their Group H opponents in Israel, scoring and assisting in their victory.

Messi opened his account in this campaign's Champions League 37 minutes into the first half, a goal that saw him go clear of Cristiano Ronaldo in two separate goalscoring aspects.

The 37-year-old has now scored in 18 consecutive seasons in Europe's elite club competition, as per Optus Sport, while he has also surpassed his long-time rival as the only player in the tournament's history to score against 39 different teams.

Messi has now contributed to 13 goals in 10 matches in all competitions so far since the new campaign got underway.
