A former teammate of Cristiano Ronaldo's at Manchester United has launched an attack on the Portuguese and his "childish mentality".
Ribery: Griezmann Is Not World Class
Mads Timm, who was a teammate of Ronaldo's at Old Trafford and made just one senior appearance for the Red Devils, believes that, despite the success the Portuguese has enjoyed in his career, he has a childish attitude.
"He's completely indifferent to the collective side of the game," Timm wrote in his autobiography Red Devil.
"It was 'me, me, me'. Today, after so much success, he can still get annoyed when one of his teammates scored instead of him.
"Mentally, he reminds me of when I was a 12-year-old. I think he doesn't care what people think of him and that's one of the reasons why he has been able to survive in professional football."
Timm also praised Ronaldo's work ethic, explaining that the forward just put his head down and got on with things.
"Cristiano Ronaldo was the complete opposite to me. I hated the atmosphere in Manchester," he wrote.
"He was totally the opposite. He was focused and he had unwavering faith in himself and that was reflected out on the pitch.
"I remember a practice match in training when I was the left wing and he was on the right on the opposing team. Every time we crossed, he'd just fly past me. I was hardly ever out of breath after a training session... but that day, he left me gasping."
Ronaldo scored 118 goals and assisted a further 62 strikes in 291 matches under Sir Alex Ferguson at United.
