Real Madrid superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo, has continued his brilliant start to the new season after scoring his tenth goal in the first six games.
Ronaldo scored the second in Real's 2-0 at Villareal on Saturday and became the first Los Blancos player to ever score 10 in the first six La Liga games.
The Portuguese has surpassed Alfredo Di Stefano and Amancio, both of whom racked up nine goals apiece at the beginnings of the 1958/59 and 1968/69 season respectively.
Ronaldo broke the new record despite missing out on the game against Real Sociedad and has found the back of the net in every match he has played during the championship so far.
The 29-year-old is enjoying his best ever start to a season in terms of goalscoring and for the first time ever he has got on the scoresheet in all of his first five league matches.
Last season he hit six goals in the first six games and his best start to a season was in 2011/12 season when netted seven times after the opening six games.
Since his arrival in 2009, Ronaldo has consistently ended each successive season as the team's top scorer, but he never started this good.
The sweeping start means Ronaldo has scored a goal on average every 36 minutes so far in domestic matches and he alone has scored more goals than 14 other La Liga teams in their first six games.
