Official: Ronaldo Beats Haaland & Mbappe To 2023 Award

Cristiano Ronaldo will finish 2023 as top the scorer in world football after scoring in Al-Nassr's final game of the year on Saturday night.

The 38-year-old found the back of the net as Al Nassr thumped Al-Taawoun 4-1 in the Saudi Pro League.

The goal on Saturday evening saw the five-time Ballon d'Or winner bring up his 54th goal for club and country for the calendar year, making him the top scorer in 2023. 

 "I'm very happy, it was a good year for me as an individual and as a collective," Ronaldo said to SSC Sports, 

"I scored so many goals, I helped the team a lot at Al-Nassr and for the national team. I feel good, I feel happy and next year I will try to do it again."

Ronaldo finished ahead of Erling Haaland and Harry Kane to claim the award as the top scorer in 2023.

3. Kylian Mbappe: 52 goals (Paris Saint-Germain, France)
