Bale Sends Message To Messi Ahead Of MLS Move

The since-retired footballer enjoyed a short spell at MLS side Los Angeles FC between 2022 and 2023 prior to his decision to call time on a trophy-laden career after the recent FIFA World Cup.

Bale scored three goals in 14 appearances for the club before his retirement, with his move to the Black and Gold widely considered to have been facilitated with the intention of keeping fit for the tournament in Qatar.

Messi has become the latest superstar to agree a switch to the US after he announced he would be joining Inter Miami, the club co-owned by David Beckham.

Asked about the Argentine's impending move to America, Bale said MLS teams "know how to lose".

"It is a lot more chilled [in MLS]. If you lose at Real Madrid, it is like the world has ended," he told BT Sport

"You are crucified. You feel down. You go home and you're not happy.

"They accept losing a bit more [in America]. There is no consequence. You can't get relegated over there.

"When you lose a game, you go on to the next one. They accept losing a lot better over there.

"They know how to lose but they celebrate every win like you have won the championship. He will definitely enjoy it."
