The Red Devils have signed 18-year-old central midfielder Sekou Kone from Guidars FC in Mali.

The teenager is highly rated after his performances at the U17 World Cup in 2023 gained him the attention of a number of top clubs in Europe.

Kone started all seven of Mali's matches at the competition last year as the African side finished as the third-place playoff winners following an incredible 3-0 victory over Argentina.

The midfielder's arrival seems to represent a change of strategy from United's new footballing board, who reportedly see Kone as one for the future.
