FC Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong has reportedly made a decision on his future at the Camp Nou after being linked with Manchester United.
De Jong's future in Spain has been come increasingly uncertain as the season draws to a conclusion, with a couple Premier League sides keen.
The links with Man United strengthened after it was confirmed that De Jong's former coach at Ajax Amsterdam will take charge of the Red Devils from next season.
However, it seems United are not the only team in the frame for the Netherlands international, with the Sun reporting that the player may snub a reunion with Ten Hag to join Manchester City.
The Citizens are set to lose club captain Fernandinho at the end of the season and manager Pep Guardiola is reportedly a big a fan of the midfielder, who they missed out on three years ago.
The report claims City being in the UFA Champions League next season could be a factor in snubbing the Red Devils and Ten Hag.
Barcelona manager Xavi recently revealed that De Jong is an important player, but admitted the club's financial situation could force their hand.
"He is important, with me he has almost always been a starter, but it all depends on the economic situation," Xavi told reporters, as per Goal.
"He can mark an era and I like him, but we will see."
