The ex-Tottenham Hotspur winger is set to leave Los Blancos at the end of the campaign to conclude a nine-year stay at the Spanish giants, with whom he has claimed four UEFA Champions League titles.
While his agent, Barnett, has previously disclosed this information, the 72-year-old has now revealed that he believes it is "likely" his client will return to English football.
"Gareth will leave Real Madrid," he told Portuguese outlet Record.
"His return to English football is likely, I think – but his future now depends on Wales and their play-off games for the World Cup."
Following a productive loan spell at Spurs in the 2020/21 campaign, Bale has made just seven appearances in all competitions for Real this season after Carlo Ancelotti's return to the Los Blancos dugout.
Overall, however, his time in Spain has seen the pacey attacker achieve unprecedented success for a British player at a top European club, with Bale having claimed 15 trophies since his arrival at the Santiago Bernabeu in 2013.
