Uruguay international Ronald Araujo went to ground following a head collision with teammate Gavi in the 62nd minute of the match as Barcelona led Betis 3-1.
Medics were quick to respond to Eric Garcia's calls as the Spain defender was the player nearest to Araujo, who was later strapped to a stretcher and taken to a hospital.

In a statement released on their official website after the game, Barcelona said the defender had suffered a concussion and was being further examined by medical professionals.
