Footballer In Court Over Alleged Child Sex Offences

An English professional footballer, who was once on Arsenal's books, has appeared in court over alleged sexual misconduct with a minor.

In February, Bradford City terminated Tyrell Robinson's contract after he was accused of engaging in sexual activity with a child.

According to The Yorkshire Post, the 22-year-old fullback has now appeared in court, doing so over a skype call, for allegedly "engaging in sexual activity with a child, making an indecent image of a child and two counts of distributing an indecent image of a child".

The former Arsenal youth academy player has been accused of sexually touching a 14-year-old girl in August 2018, and has also been charged for distributing an indecent photograph of a child a year earlier.

Robinson left the Gunners in February 2017 as a free agent, before signing for Bradford in July that year.

The player is now reportedly set to appear in court in person on 16 June.
