With Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and FC Barcelona all spending big bucks already, here the most expensive deals in this transfer window so far.

Bundesliga champions Bayern have been the biggest spenders so far after breaking their club record to sign Lucas Hernandez for a whopping €80 million (R1.29 billion). The Bavarians activated the 23-year-old's release clause in order to get the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner from Atletico Madrid this window.
The second-biggest outlay was by FC Barcelona, who transferred €75 million (R1.2 billion) to Ajax Amsterdam for midfielder Frenkie de Jong's services.

The Catalans' bitter rivals Real have also been busy, even though they are expected to spend much more. So far, their €50 million (R802 million) acquisition of FC Porto defender Eder Militao is the third-most expensive deal of the window, followed by the €45 million (R722 million) they spent on Brazilian striker Rodrygo Goes.
Wolverhamton Wanderers activated their €38 million (R610 million) option to buy Raul Jimenez permanently after the Mexican impressed with 17 goals and eight assists while on loan with the Premier League side in 2018/19.
In Benjamin Pavard, Bayern secured another 2018 World Cup winner, spending €35 million (R562 million) for his services. The Stuttgart centre-back is followed by Bayer Leverkusen's €32 million (R513 million) outlay for Kerem Demirbay, while the last three spots are all covered by Borussia Dortmund signings.

The Black and Yellows spent €25.5 million (R409 million) on Nico Schulz and Thorgan Hazard this week, while just €500 000 (R8 million) less were enough to secure the services of Leverkusen's Julian Brandt.
