The Frenchman is one of several high-profile names linked with the Spanish giants since manager Zinedine Zidane rejoined the club.
The French tactician was reportedly tasked with revamping an ageing squad, and was promised new "Galactico" signings by president Florentino Perez. His compatriot Pogba is one of the superstars linked with a move to Santiago Bernabeu as a result.
The midfielder, who has come to life since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took over from Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford, recently described a potential move to Real Madrid as "a dream".
"Like I've always said, Real Madrid is a dream for anyone," he told reporters last week, as quoted by AS.
"It's one of the biggest clubs in the world. There is also Zidane as a coach and it's a dream for anybody who likes football.
"For now, I'm at Manchester. We don't know what the future holds. I'm at Manchester and I'm happy."
According to Tuttosport, Pogba's agent Mino Raiola has now set the player's wage demands at €16 million (R263 million) a year, which would make him Los Blancos' top earner ahead of Gareth Bale, who is believed to pocket €14 million (R230 million) annually.
