Al Ain 2-1 Wydad Casablanca
Wydad Casablanca finished the FIFA Club World Cup campaign without a point after losing 2-1 Al Ain on Thursday evening.
South African striker Cassius Mailula was restored to the Wydad line-up and joined countryman Thembinkosi Lorch in the attack.
The decision to include Mailula paid off after just four minutes when the former Mamelodi Sundowns striker got on the end of Mohamed Moufid's cross before rifling the ball into the back of the net from just inside the box.
The UAE club were handed a lifeline on the stroke of halftime after being awarded a penalty following the intervention of the Video Assistant Referee (VAR), which allowed Kodjo Fo-Doh Laba to convert and level matters.
Al Ain completed the turnaround five minutes after the halftime break courtesy of an impressive first-time finish from Alejandro Romero on the edge of the box.
That goal was enough to seal the win for Al Ain, who secure third spot in Group F, while Wydad finish bottom of their group.
Juventus 2-5 Manchester City
Manchester City finished as winners of Group G after thrashing Serie A giants Juventus 5-2 on Thursday.
Pep Guardiola's charges took the lead on nine minutes when Ait-Nouri did well to play in Jeremy Doku, who cut inside before firing into the far corner.
Two minutes later, Juventus were back on level terms when Teun Koopmeiners made his way into the box before firing in at Ederson's near post.
City were back in front on 26 minutes when Juventus defender Pierre Kalulu diverted Matheus Nunes' low cross into his own net.
The English outfit came out firing in the second half as Erling Haaland added his name to the score-sheet on 52 minutes before fellow substitute Phil Foden added the fourth goal on 69 minutes.
Savinho added the fifth goal for City with a superb strike from distance in the 75th minute, while Dusan Vlahovic bagged a second consolation for Juventus with six minutes left on the clock.
