An Al Ahly star has lauded the club's new signings and believes the additions will boost the Red Devils' performance in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.

The Red Devils are in Group A alongside Lionel Messi's Inter Miami, Brazilian side Palmeiras and Portuguese giants FC Porto.
Al Ahly will play Inter Miami in the tournament's opening game and Kouka revealed how important it was for his team to get off the mark at the Club World Cup, Yallakora reported.
"I am very happy that we will be playing the opening match of the Club World Cup," Kouka said.
"The whole world will be watching this match, in addition to the presence of Messi, who talks to the ball. Therefore, it is an important match for us, and it is the key to our journey in the tournament."
Kouka praised the team's new additions ahead of the competition and hoped the Club World Cup would serve as good motivation.
"We have signed great players, and there is no greater motivation for them than participating in a tournament like the Club World Cup," he said.
"I don't feel that the large number of stars is a burden on us, because stars are made in big teams," he added.
The Egyptian international promised fans that the Red Devils players would bring their best to the competition.

"I am confident that we will perform at a distinguished level in the Club World Cup, and we will perform at 100% to please Al Ahly fans," he concluded.
