Benham claimed full control of the London outfit in 2012 and has seen the club get promoted from the third division all the way to the Premier League while they also moved into a new stadium in 2020.
The report claims that South African businessman Gary Lubner and English filmmaker Matthew Vaughn are now closing in on securing a minority share of the Bees.
Lubner is the former chief executive of Belron, the parent company of Autoglass, while Vaughn made his name in cinema world by directing movies such as X Men First Class and the Kingsman franchise.
It is believed that Benham only wants to sell '10-20 per cent' of his shares, which is believed to worth around £400million (R9.6billion).

Brentford have established themselves as a top-flight club in recent years and will be heading into the fifth season as a Premier League outfit.
The Athletic added that the money invested into the club will help the team become more aggressive in the transfer market while also funding the Best Intentions’ multi-club group and boost their commercial department.
