Following the 1-0 loss to Newcastle United, reports surfaced claiming that the pair had fallen out, with Pogba not happy with his role in the side.
According to the Daily Mail, Mourinho held talks with Pogba earlier this week to clear the air.
The same report claims the pair met on Tuesday for about an hour and spoke about the Frenchman's form and his best position.
Mourinho refused to comment on what was said between himself and Pogba, but insisted they had a good relationship.
"I don't have to speak with you about my conversations with my players — it's my problem and the player's problem,' said Mourinho said in his press conference on Friday, according to the Daily Mail.
"Paul accepts he has not been playing well but that's all. It's a big lie that our relationship is not good, that we don't communicate, that we don't agree with his positions and his involvement in the dynamic of the team."
