A come-from-behind 2-1 victory over Everton in their 2023/24 league campaign's final match was not enough to see the Gunners clinch their first championship title in 20 years.
The last iteration of the north Londoners to be crowned kings of England was their 2003/04 squad, and although this latest version of Arsenal accumulated more wins than the club's last league-winning side, it was not enough to stop the Citizens from claiming a fourth successive league title.
As per ESPN, after the match, Arsenal's Spanish tactician addressed supporters about losing out to City, saying: "Now it is time to have a break, think, reflect, and please keep pushing. Keep inspiring this team.
"Don't be satisfied because we want much more than that and we are going to get it."
With this being the second season the San Sebastian native has finished behind his former employers in the standings come the end of the campaign, Arteta also insisted that Arsenal will win the Premier League soon enough.

"If we do what we have to do, we're going to be closer, and at the end, we'll win it. When, I don't know. But if we keep knocking and being that close, in the end, it will happen," he concluded.
