The Italian and Chris Smalling almost exchanged a little more than words, after a collision saw Balotelli crash into the advertising boards.
Liverpool supporters were seen restraining the striker from taking his anger out on Smalling, which was a good thing as he was already booked.
Balotelli went onto Facebook to express his thanks to the Reds supporters for helping him stay out of trouble.
"Besides all efforts the game didn't go our way. But one thing was real clear: I wasn't alone on the pitch. YNWA" he wrote on Facebook.
The troubled striker hasn't always had the best of times at Anfield, but it seems like he has finally won over the heart of some supporters.
