Manchester City manager, Manuel Pellegrini, believes Yaya Toure is returning towards his best after putting his troubled summer behind him.
Toure lost his brother, Ibrahim, in June, while his future was the subject of speculation after complaints from his agent that City failed to celebrate his client's birthday.
The 31-year-old, hadn't scored a Premier League goal until October, when he broke the deadlock in the 2-0 win at Aston Villa, but he was heavily criticised for his performance in the 1-0 defeat to Bayern Munich.
However, Pellegrini isn't too worried about Yaya's recent dip in form and believes he is performing at a much higher level now.
"Yaya has the quality to make a difference. He had a difficult summer but every game he is getting better." he told ESPN
Toure, who struck 24 times last season, was only a substitute for Saturday's 4-1 win over Tottenham but is likely to return to the starting line-up for Tuesday's Champions League tie against CSKA Moscow.
The Ivorian, has won two Premiership titles and the FA Cup since joining the Citizens in 2010 from Barcelona.
