The Red Devils have performed poorly this season and succumbed to a 17th defeat of the season against West Ham this past weekend.
The club started the season with Dutchman Erik Ten Hag in charge but he was replaced by former Sporting CP coach Ruben Amorim in November, who has overseen six wins in 25 league games he has been in the dugout.
However, according to Football Tribe, the Portuguese national has been backed by Man Utd co-owner Jim Ratcliffe, who has shown support to Amorim amid the struggles in the league.
Ratcliffe has supposedly praised the 40-year-old for his performances despite the difficult circumstances and highlighted the unavailability of key players such as Luke Shaw, Mason Mount, Marcus Rashford, and Jadon Sancho for various reasons.
Ratcliffe reportedly added that the coach has done a "great job" given the squad's limitations this season.
Manchester Evening News reported that Amorim has acknowledged the poor performances, labelling it as "embarrassing" but the manager has reportedly told the board he has plans to turn the club's fortunes around.

"Our position [on the log] is unacceptable," Amorim said.
He continued: "For me, that is not a lack of confidence, it's something more profound, and I talk with the board and with everybody, even with the fans, in every moment. I have a clear feeling of what this team needs to be so much better.
