Kevin De Bruyne has reportedly received a shock offer from one of Manchester City’s Premier League rivals ahead of next season.

Earlier this year, the Belgian playmaker released a statement confirming that the 2024/25 campaign would be his final season with the Sky Blues. It marks the end of an illustrious and trophy-laden nine-year spell with City, during which he won everything in club football.
Now, the Drongen native is looking to begin a new chapter in the twilight of his career, and according to Sky Italia, the 33-year-old hopes to remain in Europe. One of the clubs reportedly interested in acquiring his services is Liverpool.

The Reds will also be bidding farewell to a talismanic playmaker in Trent Alexander-Arnold at the end of the season, with the Englishman announcing that he will leave Anfield once his contract expires. Given how integral the dynamic fullback has been to the way the Merseysiders build their attacks, they are seemingly looking to offset his departure by targeting De Bruyne.
The six-time European champions are, however, not the only side keen on signing the capped international. The same report claims that Napoli are also seriously considering a move for the versatile midfielder.

The Neapolitan club are on the verge of winning their second Serie A title in three years and hope to elevate their status even further next season. It is also believed they are counting on De Bruyne’s relationship with Romelu Lukaku, their star striker, to be a deciding factor in their bid to land his signature.
