According to Al Arab, Qatari Stars League outfit Qatar SC are extremely eager to sign Ka Bo Yellow’s talisman ahead of the 2025/26 season. The Brazilian continued his excellent form this past campaign for the Tshwane-based side, scoring 21 goals and providing 14 assists in all competitions, as he helped Sundowns win their eighth consecutive Betway Premiership title.

The 26-year-old’s impressive performances were not only limited to domestic football. Ribeiro, along with his club, gave a good account of himself at the FIFA Club World Cup. At the global tournament, the Santa Helena native managed to register a goal and an assist over the course of the three group-stage matches he played in the United States of America.

With the eyes of the global football fraternity tuned into the newly expanded competition, Ribeiro’s performances likely caught the attention of many clubs. However, it appears that one side keen to formalise their interest in the near future is Qatar SC.

The club recently had another former Mamelodi Sundowns star on their books in Percy Tau. He featured in nine league matches during his stint with the Asian side and managed to register four assists. Despite this, the club opted to release the Witbank-born attacker, and are now looking to sign the record South African champions’ current talisman.

It remains to be seen what Sundowns’ valuation of the player is, but it is likely to be hefty, given how important he has been to the club since his arrival.
