With his contract expected to expire at Orlando Pirates, a South African midfielder finds himself at the centre of transfer speculation with multiple Betway Premiership clubs vying for his signature.
As previously reported by Soccer Laduma, Pirates were set to part ways with Phillip Ndlondlo who has attracted interest from several top flight clubs, including his former team Marumo Gallants.

Now sources close to the player, Chippa United, and Pirates have indicated that the Chilli Boys are believed to be emerging as frontrunners to secure Ndlondlo's services.
"At the moment Chippa United are the ones in the forefront in pursuit to sign Ndlondlo from Pirates. It's believed that although his contract is apparently supposed to have expired on 30th June, Ndlondlo is still at Pirates and Chippa is believed to be waiting to first hear from Pirates before they could sign the player but it's believed that they really need him for his experience as they have released a few players ahead of the new season so that is why they are looking at signing Ndlondlo," the insider told Soccer Laduma.
Meanwhile, a second source stated that Marumo Gallants remain interested in reuniting with the midfielder.
"There has been interest from Polokwane City and Marumo Gallants as well. So it will all depend on which club agrees with the player and his representatives. But one thing for sure is that he won't be short of suitors at the end of the day," the second source stated.
Ndlondlo joined Pirates from Marumo Gallants three seasons ago and was a regular starter during his first two campaigns with the Buccaneers. However, last season saw him fall down the pecking order, losing his place primarily to rising star Thalente Mbatha.

When contacted by Soccer Laduma, Chippa United executive director Lukhanyo Mzinzi remained tight-lipped about the potential acquisition.
"No comment for now," Mzinzi briefly told Soccer Laduma.
With his technical ability and top flight experience, Ndlondlo represents a valuable addition for any club looking to strengthen their midfield options. As his situation at Pirates remains unresolved, the coming days could prove decisive in determining where the talented midfielder continues his career, in Soweto or elsewhere.
