English Premier League
Result: Liverpool 3-0 Bournemouth
Date: 14 April 2018
Venue: Anfield
Mohamed Salah scored his 30th Premier League goal of the season as Liverpool cruised to a 3-0 win over Bournemouth on Saturday evening.
Jurgen Klopp's charges came into the clash on the back of a 2-1 win over Manchester City that booked their spot in the UEFA Champions League semi-finals.
The Reds got off the perfect start this weekend as they broke the deadlock after seven minutes thanks to a clinical strike from Sadio Mane.
Salah looked to get his name on the scoresheet on 19 minutes after being played in by Trent Alexander-Arnold, but goalkeeper Asmir Begovic was on hand to deny the Egyptian.
Chances were hard to come by for Bournemouth as they struggled to get the ball off the Reds.
That proved to be the trend for the rest of the half as Jurgen Klopp's men took a 1-0 lead into the break.
The Reds went close to bagging a second goal 10 minutes into the second half as Virgil Van Djik's long-range strike sailed inches over the crossbar.
The hosts' lead was eventually doubled on 69 minutes when Alexander-Arnold picked out Salah, who sent a looping header past Begovic.
Bournemouth nearly pulled a goal back on 80 minutes, but Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Kariu produced a fine save to deny Dan Gosling from close range.
The Reds pushed for more goals in the closing stags of the second half and they were rewarded in the 89th minute, with Roberto Firmino firing a low strike past Begovic at his near post.
