The Argentina captain looked certain to break the deadlock against Colombia, but Arsenal's Ospina pulled off an amazing save to keep the game at 0-0.

Ospina first saved an attempt by Carlos Tevez and then got up quickly to clear Messi's follow up header off the line.

"When I saw him on the ground, I thought he wasn't getting up," Messi said, according to the London Evening Standard.

"Then when I saw that he'd gotten up to make the save, I wanted to die."

Argentina still progressed through a dramatic penalty shoot-out, after the game finished 0-0.
