Borussia Dortmund moved into fourth position on the Bundesliga standings with a 2-0 victory over VfL Wolfsburg on Sunday.
For Dortmund, Erling Braut Haaland, Marco Reus, Axel Witsel, Manuel Akanji and Thomas Meunier came back into the starting lineup, having missed the DFB Pokal second round win over Eintracht Braunschweig.
The Borussians had the first chance of the match in the 10th minute. Giovanii Reyna was able to find Marco Reus but his stinging shot deflected wide for a corner. but his shot is sent wide for a corner.
Just before half-time Haaland and Reus nearly linked up for the lead, but the former was unable to add to his 10 league goals/
Dortmund continued to dominate into the second half, a Thomas Delaney's set-piece went just wide after he had won the free-kick himself just after the hour.
After a series of corner kicks, Manu Akanji flew into the box and powered home Jadon Sancho's cross for the lead in the 66th minute.
Moments later, the Dortmund defender came to the rescue with a huge block in the box to deny Wolfsburg an equaliser.
In the first minute of stoppage time, Sancho would wrap up the points with a right footed shot from the centre of the box to the bottom right corner after being assisted by Emre Can following a fast break.
