This publication has been reliably informed that the Bavarian giants currently lead a pack of elite European sides who are chasing the services of Sporting CP’s young central defender.
Clubs such as Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid have all expressed interest in the Ivorian, but in the early stages of the off-season transfer window, the newly crowned German champions appear to have stolen a march on the player.
Prior to the start of the recent season, the player signed with prominent football agency ROOF, who have a plethora of German and Bundesliga-based clients — some of whom play for Die Roten — and now Diomande could be the latest to make the move to the Allianz Arena.
During the 2024/25 season, the Abidjan native played a prominent role in helping the Lions complete a domestic double in the Portuguese top flight, winning the Liga Portugal and Taca de Portugal. While it would be presumed that Sporting would insist on his €80 million (R1.6 billion) release clause, Soccer Laduma has been told that the Lisboa-based institution would be willing to accept a bid between €60–€65 million (R1.2-R1.3 billion).

This, however, will be contingent on whether a bidding war ensues for the towering defender, in which case it is likely the club would insist on his release clause being triggered. It is still early in the transfer window and many things could change, however, at this current moment, Bayern are pushing hardest to try to sign him.
