Italy and Chelsea star Jorginho has talked up his chances of winning the Ballon d'Or after claiming nobody won more than he did last season.
Jorginho was a key performer for Chelsea in the past campaign, helping the club win a second UEFA Champions League title, while he also won the 2020 UEFA European Championship with Italy recently.
Lionel Messi might be seen as a frontrunner for the prestigious accolade after leading Argentina to the 2021 Copa America title, but Jorginho feels he could be a favourite for the prize if the decision is based on titles won this past campaign.
"But, I'll be honest, it depends on the criteria that the decision is based on.
"If we're talking about talent then I know I'm not the best in the world. But if it's going on titles, then nobody has won more than I have this season.
"How could I compare myself to (Lionel) Messi, Neymar or Cristiano Ronaldo? They've got completely different characteristics to me. But, I repeat, it depends on the criteria."
